Getting to La Cachette des Grenouilles
Ariège is easily accessible by plane or train, but a car is essential to explore the region and reach our secluded gîte in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Natural Park.

FROM TOULOUSE (≈120 km – 1h30)
• Take the southern ring road → exit 25 → direction Tarbes.
• Join the A64 motorway for about 60 km until exit 20.
• Continue towards Saint-Girons for 28 km (speed cameras and villages).
• In Saint-Girons → direction Guzet Station / Seix / Oust.
• In Oust, take the road towards Ercé (24 km from St-Girons).
Upon entering Ercé:
• Pass the small grocery store.
• 100 m further, turn left towards Hameau de Cominac up to the church.
• Drive up 1 km, after two hairpin bends look for the two large containers on the left.
• Opposite them, take the road marked "gîte rural".
• Follow for 800 m: at the first big bend, the entrance to La Cachette des Grenouilles is on the right.
A gate with two pivoting rods blocks animals: drive slowly, gently push them with your car and continue to the parking area.
For safety, use Mappy or Google Maps.
⚠ GPS warning: the "shortest route" sometimes uses very narrow and winding mountain roads.

A vehicle is essential in Ariège as public transport is very limited.
